"FESTIVAL" (2005 ð³ê) - is the fifth album of Igor Zavadsky. It was recorded at different concerts of the musician during the year and consists of two CD's. Most of the classical pieces of the first CD were recorded during the concert at the Kyiv Theatre of Operetta (January 20, 2005). Besides solo tricks, a duet with accordion and already a traditional performance accompanied by chamber orchestra, Igor Zavadsky has for the first time joined together the sounding of his instrument with big symphonic orchestra and chorus. Also for the first time Igor has accompanied flute along with chamber orchestra, while in Albinoni's Adagio the sound of button accordion accompanied by a group of violoncellos and double-basses became very interesting.
The second CD includes mostly pieces of contemporary composers performed during the last year at different Igor's concerts by the best young accordionists of Ukraine and Belarus. The youngest performer, Dmytro Mazur, was 14 at the time of recording. It's exactly the musical piece "Festival", performed by Igor Zavadsky in duet with this young talent, that gave title to the whole album. But the name "Festival" also has another symbolic meaning because album's recording was fulfilled at peculiar mini-festivals organized by the eminent maestro during the year of 175th anniversary since invention of accordion. Igor Zavadsky introduces 11 performers to wide audience: 5 play the piano accordion and 6 - the button accordion. From now on he is going to include in his CD's pieces performed by the best accordionists of Ukraine and of the world. A new version of "Libertango" where Igor for the first time performs in trio with button accordion and acoustic guitar was included in the CD at the last moment.
